Muhammara (Roasted Red Bell Pepper–Walnut Dip)

image00278Membuat sekitar 2 ½ gelas / 575 g
2 paprika merah, dipanggang, dan dikupas
1 gelas / 120g biji kenari/ walnut, panggang
⅔ gelas / 40 g remah roti atau panko, panggang
2 sdt molasses delima (pomegranate)
2 siung bawang putih
Sedikit cabe merah kering
Jus dari ½ lemon
1 sdt paprika
½ sdt jinten (opsional)
1 sdt garam
Sedikit lada hitam
¼ gelas / 60 ml minyak zaitun extra-virgin.

Campurkan paprika dan kenari dalam food processor dan blender sampai campuran halus. Tambahkan remah roti, molasses delima, bawang putih, cabe merah kering, jus lemon, paprika, jintan (jika menggunakan), garam, dan merica. Tambahkan minyak zaitun secara perlahan dan blender.
